JUST HAD A NO SHOW FOR TWO DAYS!!! I HAVE TOMORROW MARCH 11th open IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED ???????
3.6.10
It seems like every other day is a CRUSHER DAY !!!! Well this is the CRUSHER day. I hate when you start the day off with two drift and two fish. One being a huge rainbow, that is tough to take. The upper river was good to Sean and Micky then the lower river was real good also.. A very easy CTDDDD :) Great weather and great fishing what more could you ask for !!!!!!! All fish are still swimming. Water level up to 7000cfs...
3.5.10
Not to often you have one of the best violists in the counrty on the boat. He even played for a couple of my friends and my little girl. What a great time !!! THANKS DAVE... I wish the fishing would of been a little better for Dave and his Dad though. We worked hard hooking into a bunch but not landing the large ones :( Great day on the water with great company. All fish were released to fight again.....
3.4.10
Can you say Lucky and more lucky are here. John and Walt have had some of the best trips the last couple years. They usually have the worst weather but CRUSH the fish !!!!!! Well, they crushed the fish again.. Many landed.... A very easy CTDDDD plus..... All fish were named and released :) Water level should start coming up soon with higher temps?
3.3.10
Had the pleasure to fish with Dan (LONEWOLF CHARTERS) and Brian today. A nice relaxing day with some attachments to reel in. I even landed a real nice one :) Thanks guys... Brian cooked us some soup that really hit the spot. Not a great bite but enough to keep you interested. Another CTDDDD.. All fish were released to fight again and again !!!! Water level around 5500cfs..
3.2.10
What a great vision !!!!! I got to the river and the ice had pushed back out :) It's going to be a gooooood day on the Oswego !!!! Many fish were landed with the flemish cap pushed back out to sea. An easy CTDDDD .......All fish were released !!!!!!!
3.1.10
Carl is back and really means business... Only one problem, the ice is back and is blocking our hot spot :( The heavy winds really put a damper on Carl and Danny's trip today. We gave it a good shot coming up with 7 fish, not bad for the conditions and only fishing till 11. Now if the water was up I wouldn't be having these problems. All fish were released to fight again... Water was low, cold and wet :)
3.1.10
The flemish cap that moved in on us today :(
2.28.10
Phil is back again!!!!! He has never fished this low of water in Feb. The drift is so slow I think he was getting bored with it. Ray (the new guy) thought it was just fine catching some of the biggest fish of his life :) A great morning bite when the sun came out it was all over :( An easy CTDDDD before the sun though :)... A bunch of repeat offenders again. Names coming soon :) All fish were released.... Water level still low and clear :(
2.27.10
What a pile of wet snow we got !!!! A fresh 20 inches. Maybe we will get some water eventually :) Mike and Marty made it through and it was well worth the trip !!!! Perfect conditions with little wind gave us the drift we needed to capture many. A very, very, easy CTDDDD plus..... All fish were released so I can start naming them. I have caught the same steelhead 3 times and a bunch of browns numerous times this week. Catch and release works great!!!!! Water level still very low 5000cfs.
2.27.10
Very Cool Brown Trout!!!!
2.25.10
Back to the Salmon River Today. A little too windy for Oswego. Jerry worked hard for them, fishing all day in heavy snow. I was soaked, my bibs leaked all the way through. Time to water proof them again. A few real nice fish :) Just pulled off the CTDDDD. All fish were released to fight again.
2.24.10
Another day of low water :( The lowest water for one season that I have seen in many, many years... Danny and Greg were ready, water or no water !!!!! The wind was tough but we figured them out :) Not fast and furious but we captued our share. A CTDDDD.... One thing, we did have a triple today. You don't see that too often. Even a few lake browns, a little early for them. Water level down to 4500cfs and beyond clear...
2.23.10
After a couple of years of trying to get a date booked with me, Rich and DJ booked the right date :) Great action the entire trip !!!! They couldn't believe the method that we were using, but they are believers now!!!!! Some real nice brown trout landed today :) Here is a hint www.pautzke.com.. Ya never know..... An easy CTDDDD plus many more :) All fish were released to fight again... Water level low and clear.. 4500cfs..
2.21.10
Carl is here and he means business!!!!! With the low water you definitely have to have your presentation together. Carl and Mike did a great job on the Oswego today. We put our time in for another CTDDDD..... A few fresh fish starting to show :) Water level very low at 5000cfs...
2.20.10
Back to the home waters :) It was questionable if we were going to get the boat out of the river, but we wanted to fish Oswego. It was a good call from the guys.. No one bothered us, didn't have to race to each spot and we caught fish. Mission completed !!!!! Just took some time to get the boat over the ice.. An easy CTDDDD..... Water level still really low around 5000cfs.
2.19.10
Had the pleasure to fish with one of my college buddies today. I have not fished with John for about 17 years, I'm getting old :( Well, John and Anthony used their fly gear with indicators and came up with a pretty good day. Just enough action to keep you interested. Again lots of shore guys in most of the good holes :( Pick your starting spots wisely ....... Back to Oswego tomorrow I can't take the Salmon River on the weekend.....
2.18.10
What do you know, a cold front came in and the steelhead bite was real slow .... Mark brought Jim with him on today's trip so we just blamed it on him :) Hooked some steelhead but didn't land any, just a few brown trout came to the net. Tons of people on the river in all the spot you need to fish :( Wow, on a thursday even. High water pleasssssse !!!!!!! An easy Catch the Drift Single Digit Day .......
2.17.10
When you book a steelhead trip today would of been the one you want !!!!! NORM WHERE WERE YA ????? A few to start the day then we drifted into some steel lands :) :) A CTDDDD with some large ones. Salmon River gage was 600cfs at pineville. All fish were released to fight again... Even I caught a bunch today :)

Back from the shows..... Time to Fish !!!!! Had Chris and Don from the PAUTZKE Bait Co. on the Oswego River today. They have the best cure on the market !!!!! FIRE CURE... I use it all the time. Just wish we had a little more water to fish :( 4500cfs on the gage this morning.. We fished fast because they had to fly back to the west coast at 3. Managed to land some nice fish but no big numbers for today. I'll have to get them back up here when they have more time. All fish were released.. www.pautzke.com try it !!!!

The "Curse" is back. Will Norm shut the whole river down like he usually does ? Not today !!!! Mark starts off the day with some great fish in the upper river. Even Norm landed a few :) Not a bad day on the river considering who was in the boat :) Good action most of the day. An easy Catch the Drift Double Digit Day... All fish were released to fight again.. Water level around 10,000cfs...
2.2.10
Day 2 with Martin was another good day on the Oswego River. It was a little slow to start the day off with lots of ice and slush coming down the river. Once it cleared up we started to get some :) A CTDDDD for Martin... Water level around 10,500 cfs...
2.1.10
Can you say cold dirty water !!!!! Martin got to see it all in Oswego today. We pulled in Leto's to see the gate being locked and can't get to the ramp. We looked at the power station to see water spraying out the corner of the building. Wow, what next ?? Well, next we pushed the boat all the way to the water. It would of been ok if the snow covered all the road :( A sore back and we made it. Not fun !!!! Fishing wise we worked hard and came through with some good ones :) All fish released to fight again....
